A busy day today as we headed off to the first smoke pearl stock show in years, we didnt do too badly winning 2nd adult marten, 2nd u5 marten buck and 2nd u5 siamese buck, so quite a nice day, cant wait to see how we do with next years youngsters.
Today was egton show, no bunnies in the show sadly due to horrendous moult, but we had a great time on the touch and feel table and came home with...
Fable a beautiful black rex doe from sue, she will hopefully (eventually) be used in my smoke pearl rex program, which im very excited about.
Today we had a sudden thunderstorm and poor ginger was caught out in the open trying to shelter under a bench in the garden, poor little mite was sodden through and we brought her in to be dried off... but there really is nothing quite as funny as a very wet chicken. Here she is after being dryed off a bit.
I didnt enter any rabbits in sedgefield as today was my first ever judging engagment, i was due to judge the fur and rex in the 1* show, however at the last minute the other judge pulled out so i did the fancy/lop sections as well, with over 120 rabbits for my first judging engament, i had a great day and thoroughly enjoyed it, with some really smashing rabbitsBIS and best fancy was a gorgeous rew pole
RBIS, best u5 and best rex was a beautiful marten seal
Best lop was a stunning rew mini and best u5 lop was also a rew mini :O
Best fur was a lovely argente bleu
and another of note as i would happily have brought it home was the best U5 fancy a gorgeous black tan...
i had a great day and cant wait to do it again.
Sadly my beautiful baby girl Felix sadly passed away today, she will be really missed as she was such a cutie. Sleep tight my snuggly little girl.
Yesterday we spent the day at twycross zoo, great day and i got the chance to photograph some beautiful bat eared foxes, and see the gorgeous bali starlings.
Well felix my poor cashmere girly has been pine-ing away and i didnt know who to pair her with, i took a chance and let the two young girls (geronimo and annie) out in the run with her, they are now all very happy together, so heres a pic of my new trio playing happy families... fingers crossed it works out this time for felix.
